Rush... absolutely! Glenn, not so much. If you don't like looking at him, read something from him. I think you would be surprised how much even you agree with him.

Rush and Beck are almost nothing alike. Putting them in the same category is either an example of how you don't know much about one or the other (or both) or it is a tactic to put Beck in the same category as Rush in order to marginalize him.

He's an opportunist... can you blame him? Some of them get lost once they head down that road and start taking themselves **cough cough** Olberman / Matthews *cough* too seriously.

I don't watch or listen to any of them but have of course heard clips of all... the vemon that strikes me as most vile and lacking of substance is Olberman. Granted, I rarely (can't remember last time) hear Rush and have heard Beck only slightly more (just to figure out who you were talking about) but O'Reilley offers some substance... he's a dickhead to be sure but he's small potatoes in the asshole partisan department compared to Olberman - that guy is as vapid as your gf's stoned teenage sister and nearly as mean and nasty as she was after she caught you in the sack with her. Matthews... he just drank the Kool Ade.. he thinks he's doiung the right thing and I can hardly fault him for that.. ok I can fault him for not conceding the fact that he's got a clear agenda*.. but I don't nearly as much as the rest even though I disagree with him almost always.

FTR - I've got no problem with established media personalities like Matthews, who also has an impressive resume, saying things like that. More power to him. My objection is his coying claim of objectivity. Hell, his own network yanked him from coverage during the campaign for being so clearly and over the top in the bag for Obama. If he wishes to be a pundit like Scarborough then bill yourself as opinion journalism... you show me yours I show you mine and we can play a nice honest game of cards.

I'm not sure about O'Reilly because he completely lost me when he backed the first dumbass "bailout" last October. My opinion, even he was losing his ass big time in the market and wanted a handout like everyone else wants now.

And obviously you missed the joke about objectivity. I would think anyone with half a brain would catch on to the absurdity of someone saying 'objectively' that someone else needs to die in a fire, but apparently I need to put it in big bold text with a mark that says it's a joke so you'll grasp what's going on.
