Now Boxer thinks protesters have to dress like dirty dope smoking hippies if there are to be true protesters. And I think its funny she thinks that somehow she shut some angry crowd up by mentioning Ronald Reagan's name. Its like "Hey guys, she pulled the Reagan Card.... time to settle down." Does anyone else think its funny that these elected officials who are supposed to listen the their constituents are so quick to dismiss their concerns when they disagree with them? Here is a bunch of people who normally don't protest (so maybe they haven't quite gotten it perfect just yet) but have now been push to the point of feeling they need to get up off the couch and try to do something to be heard. And because there are so many of them they are characterized as a "mob" and therefore must have been organized by some radical right wing organization. Now I think the screaming matches aren't getting anyone anywhere and if you want to truely be heard at one of these you have to curb your anger just a little bit. People tend to listen to you when you speak in a normal tone. But these people are pissed and they don't know the ways of the protest. These people (most of them) have never even been to a Town Hall meeting or a protest before. I think its funny that the government will listen to groups that HAVE been organized and come with custom profesionally made signs and matching shirts and hats (groups like ACORN), but they won't listen to a group of people with their work clothes still on carrying signs made with leftovers from their kid's school projects.
