mweh... we control the world's shipping lanes in every ocean. We control space and can continue to do so if we choose - we can keep others out. We've got the world's largest economy, manufacturing sector etc etc etc...

Our importance relative to the world community will escalate... China is on the brink economically and politically... Russia is in its death throws as a civilization... India is emerging but Bush wisely linked us up with them as pals.

I hope not.

Eventually, American outsourced manufacturing will move back to domestic factories, which will be re-tooled for automation. This is already happening as the mechanical engineers for the varied industrial companies figure out how to automate the production lines.

China's dominance in manufacturing is simply a means to fund initiatives to position themselves in other sectors, such as high tech and commercial space.

One day, we'll reflect on factory workers, much the same way we think about share croppers. Sure, there's still share croppers around, but not like it used to be.

ive been pondering moving back to home to Cape Town for nearly 2 yrs now and after extensive research and questioning of my friends & family i have to say we or you are in the best place to be right now.

I can suggest a move out of state which is what i am going to do...im going 2 move to Cali and they in more debt than Texas...
