![]() | Universal Health Care vs Michael Moore
Just curious of how many non truths from his "Sicko" Video has any one found? I watched this, and thought it had a lot of good points. How ever has any one fact checked his videos for just straight up fabrications. I think that, It would make a world of difference for most people here in the USA. I feel there would still be private doctors, and paid health care. Most people feel its socialism, that I spoke too. How ever, I cant see the big ugly dangers of having it? We have public transportation, and public schools. Most people think, ever one will die waiting, to see a doctor, for serious issues. I cant see how people wont, wait any longer with health insurance now days to see a specialist doctor. Also, the Government telling people, No, for a operation. How ever, what would be any difference in, a health care provider telling you No~, that you pay for? The state, runs the medical boards, and doctors make up most health care systems. So what would be the huge difference. Besides taking the huge profits down , and making people lives better, over all. People get F_N mad when, I tried talking about this. My own, thoughts, most people cant afford health care, and end up with unpaid doctor bills on there credit. Some times upwards of ten to twenty grand or more. So much, money in debt, that any one else would require, credit approval before they did any business with any one in those amounts. I just think, it would the single biggest society changing event, in our history. Any one else got any thoughts, I do not feel there is a wrong or right answer!

Profits are the incentive necessary for people to work as hard as most doctors work. Remove that and expect fewer docs to work as hard and expect fewer to go through the arduous process of getting into medschool (to say nothing of completing it) and taking on $250,000+ in student loan debt. Removing profit motive... that is socialist. Quote:
You don't think independence from George III, end of slavery/civil war, defeating Japan and the NAZIs and bringing the USSR to its knees were more important than providing something hitherto unprovided while we still accomplished those previously listed achievements? | |||

well, the " they could afford but do not own" is iffy. Most people have ,what they can afford most grown men have what, they want.

![]() | Re: Universal Health Care vs Michael Moore No, it isn't. It is a significant portion of the 15-18%. That group tends to be stratified into two camps... 1) have the money but have great health and no family and 2) have the money (in spades) and choose to pay out of pocket. For some, healthy ones, it's cheaper than insurance due to the small number of relatively insignificant claims.
