Glen Beck and Sarah Palin think so. Is this really where we're headed? Is ACORN going to be staffing death panels while wearing Nazi Storm Trooper uniforms? I hear this shit from people IRL and they scare the fuck out of me with their paranoia. I know Beck is a hack that just does this shit for ratings and he's libertarian so of course he'd be againsts it...plus bringing his daughter into the picture really adds a nice and scary touch to scare folks.

Same goes for Palin and her down syndrome baby. She's rallying her base of far right obama haters and it works great for her.

Obama and others have clearly said time and time again, "If you want to keep the plan you have, you can." I've yet to find a provision saying "We gonna kill yo ass if you get sick" in the health care proposals. ugh

yea, but he's also clearly stated he wants to eliminated private healthcare altogether, he clearly stated that there would be no ear marks under his administration, he clearly stated not raising taxes on the middles class, he clearly stated any bill that would be passed would have time to be read and debated, etc, etc, etc.

I'm aware of what he's said vs what he's done. As far as eliminating private insurance, kudos to that plan. I'm all for it. We are modeling the plans after NICE in britian which also 'rations' health care. Are there mass protests in Britians that the nazis are in power euthanizing people?

seems like your contradicting your self a bit here though. touting Obama's claim that people will be able to keep their plan yet saying the opposite right after.

My understanding is that there's been several versions of this bill worked on by both democrats and republicans and none of them explicitly mention some of the things that Beck, Palin and the PR firms backing conservative interests are stating this healthcare reform will mean. They are bringing up some pretty wild hypothetic scenarios centered around morally charged issues that the bill has no specific stance on.
