We will always have radicals on both sides of the fence. Finding the worst of the worst is pointless. The media is getting way to caught up in the actualities of what is being said or printed on posters by the extremists instead of focusing on the point of symbolism that a great number of people in America are starting to stand up for their rights.

Right or wrong is simply a factor of opinion that is usually biased towards your own point of view.

Politicians are less and less interested in what WE want and more and more interested in what THEY want. When you poll a sample population and find under 50% approval in Obamas plan do you get concerned when reports come out saying Dems are going to push it through regardless... because they can?

If not then you should. Pushing paper because you can doesnt ever solve anything long term. This needs to be a really well thought out process that should take awhile to really hammer out. Are the Dems getting worried their seats are going to potentially go away in 2010? Is that the rush? If so then what does that really tell you?

Somewhere along the line government stopped working for the people. That must change... and during that transition you will have EVERYONE come out of the woods to say their piece. What we should be recognizing is that people ARE speaking more than they have in decades.

Please kind in mind that this isnt a Repub/Dem arguement... its a lashing out at the state of our government in general. Blame whoever you want because it really doesnt matter. What matters is that people are tired of being run over by their government. People are realizing that the lines are actually quite blurred... They are seeing that one man is essentially the same as another. Promises (even with such sweeping grass roots desire for change) are being broken like the typical standard they always have been.

Keep in mind, that is a community messageboard, not a political one. The terrifying part is that even when provided with the fact that waving a sign portraying our BLACK president as Hitler to a GAY JEW was an extremely idiotic thing to do, the comment was made that the woman might have been a Jew because Jews can sense when someone is a nazi. These people do not consider themselves extremists. These are the "tea-baggers." These are the same people who will insist Obama is a Muslim from Kenya who hates white people, but get very angry at the very suggestion that some of the anger from the Right is fueled by fear and racism.

I guess Obamas approval ratings regarding the healthcare bill being under 50% means its all the teabagers, extremists, and nutjobs. What were Obamas numbers in the election? How big of a landslide was that again? What are those numbers now. The reality is there are a shit load of people in the middle that did vote for Obama that arent agreeing. And I believe the reason Obama's ratings are sinking amongst the dems is because we're sick of him dicking around with the Right instead of taking care of business. People are pissed.
