Is this a fair statement to make? I know everytime a company had cut backs during Bush's watch media outlets tagged the story with that headline.

I don't believe that it's a fair statement in either situation.

I see where you are coming from but this is a GM issue. The blame for Saturn costing 13k more jobs doesnt fall on any admin.

I do find it kinda funny that over the past few days all of the auto CEOs have come out and basically said that the glory days are back and sales will go right back to 06-07 levels.

Can we stop that shit? People trying to get each other worked up is why we have tea parties and G20 protests. If everybody would chill the fuck out for a bit, maybe we could have some substantive dialogue in this country once in awhile.

This shit has been going on for a decade or more and the level of 'debate' continues to decline. The pendulum has nothing to do with it. From a fundamental standpoint I would rather have that girl trying than to sit idle.

There is really only one thing that has given rise to the 'joe 6 pack genius' and that is the internet.

While we can all get that much more educated... we can all get that much more disinformation.

There has always been the bs from every possible angle... now we just have instant availability to it all. Our parents used to have to wait for the evening world news or morning paper to get happy/angry about something... And by that point so few people really had a say anyway. Now we get it streamed to us as its happening.

The trouble we face now is becoming so overly saturated that we risk the point of reigniting a severe relapse of desensitization. In this case however its that there is so much available news to go through that we dont know which way is up/down/right/wrong.
