Such a rider could well work a hardship in the other direction. If KBR cannot use arbitration to resolve the dispute then they can drag that shit through the courts for years. How does the victim benefit in that case? Or is the goal simply to harm KBR?

further, the "fix" that Franken was putting in place misunderstood the facts... KBR wasn't covering anything up, though he mistakenly thought they were, and Franken was seeking to punish them for that. It isn't a bill of attainder but its not far off.

Either way, whether they covered the incident up, or did not act... That should be handled in the courts. Writing new law or amendments specifically to punish 1 corporation (when laws already exist) makes no sense. It was nothing more than a round-a-bout way for the extreme left to get what they've always wanted (ending the contracts for KBR).

Absolutely. The woman at issue should have been given her day in court and if terminated for bringing a suit of merit she should have been able to sue for wrongful termination as well. The mechansim for addressing this already exists.

If Franken simply wishes to terminate the contracts with KBR then introduce a rider to a bill asking to do exactly that.
