The only thing that really concerns me with this is that you cant buy online where its actually cheap to buy ammo. Buying in store is expensive as hell, especially if you are the type that likes to go out shooting for fun a lot.
I dont really see this as something that is going to curb any sort of violent gun crimes though. It may make criminals more annoyed at having to drive out of state or have other people buy the ammo for them, but it's not going to stop them from getting it.
I mean really, putting a lock on your door and saying, "hey! its against the law to take the stuff thats in this house" doesnt exactly stop criminals from taking it anyway.
If someone is breaking the law already, one more law isnt going to stop them.

All this is going to be is prevent people like me from being able to go to the range and practice my marksmanship skills. Which in turn makes it more dangerous for the average person to be armed (and not skilled enough to use a firearm). Criminals don't get their weapons and ammo from legal channels.
