I agree with you.
The cops acts are what they are and I have stated my position on that, but it was this guy's narrative approach and editing that put me off about the video.

i personally think the cops may well be in the wrong and action should be taken, whether internal investigation, changes in policy, etc...

Calling that one cop a little piggy and speculating about him being an abused youth does nothing to promote his case of cops abusing their power. It made me start to play devil's advocate and break down the video, when it should have been convincing me of the abuses of power.

Dude, people are literally like "Why are you bothering me?" when they get pulled over on the highway here. It's mad lolz. I've heard about women getting out the car and slapping the cops too, and getting away with it without a ticket.

All the cops I've encountered here have been very cool and very helpful too. They don't really hassle anyone from my experience. And you barely ever see them unless you go into the city. And there's no crime! Like people leave their cars unlocked when they park, their windows open at night. It's weird coming from Dallas where you have to like bolt your shit down to every surface. It's a pride thing from what I glean. Cretans are way, way too proud to steal.

Italy isn't like that though from what I've heard. Lots of crime, mostly burglaries. I've heard that when you move you have to get people to stand by the truck while they're unloading it, otherwise people will just pull over and start throwing boxes in their car. It's a major concern of ours because if we want to stay in Europe and have Stacy promote (which she is WELL on her way to doing), Naples is pretty much our only option. Everywhere else around here would be a lateral move, which makes no sense seeing that we're in the best office besides Siganella and London. But I've also heard there are secure neighborhoods in Naples that we'll be able to afford to live, so I guess we'll see what happens. I'm good with being a Cretan for the next five years.

That entire video is just flat out propaganda. Making any sort of informed decision on any of the situations presented and documented in the video would be downright stupid. Without the raw video all you are seeing is what the video maker wants you to see. Obviously the maker of the video is pushing his own opinion on you so why on earth do you think that you would be seeing the whole story?

It's kinda like that one MSNBC clip of the tea party guy with the semi-auto rifle. You see the gun strapped over and arm and then it cuts to some redneck dude talking about how he has a right to carry his gun whereever, then it cuts back to the semi-auto rifle over the arm with the redneck guy still talking...

what you don't see is that the guy talking is referring to his pistol. The guy with the semi-auto rifle is african american.

I'm kinda over the incendiary youtube videos that slice and dice a bunch of crap out of context, throw in some overwrought music, and then insert their own interpretations of what you're supposed to be getting pissed off about and/or scared of. I take everything I see with a grain of salt.... it was something that I'd ran across & thought it fitting to throw it in here. I think what really gets me is that people are more concerned with the music & chop/splice rather than any of the content, or the implications presented.

The reason being because we cant gain any true insight into the content without context. If you posted a video of a person sitting on the curb in a peaceful demonstration and a cop walking up to them and beating them while the person screamed and didn't fight back wed be up in arms. All we see is the incident, not the before.

The one part with the guy in handcuffs walking backwards and the cop just starts decking him seems pretty cut and dry to me. The officer was clearly in danger of being head butted from 5 feet away.
