The administration apparently contacted all the TV outlets, except FOX, to offer an official for interviews and they all turned down the offer because of the exclusion of FOX. This kinda blew up in Obama's face. The far left who've been pissed at Obama for nto closing Guantanamo, renewing Partiot, not getting out of either Iraq or Afganistan etc were pleased but frankly he doesn't need to pander to them. Is he really afraid they'd vote for a GOP candidate? In the process he's alienated a huge moderate audience that see's his little war on FOX as beyond petty. I used to think he was a clever politician and an amazing speaker. Now I think he's a decent speaker but ffs he puts his mug on TV too much. He's apparently unaware of the notion of over exposure. |

I'm just shocked that that the President's Admin would even be playing these games to begin with. I mean Bush got effed in the arse every single day from all directions within the MSM and I don't remember him whining and making enemies lists. But I am glad to see that all the other networks would boycott interviewing the Pay Czar unless FNC was included. IMO they(the MSM) are starting to realize that if this kind of attack is allowed to continue against one network then this could easily happen to them if they ever ran a story against Obama. His obvious attempts to hand scooby-snacks to the loyal followers and turn his back on one of the only networks who isn't in his pocket is petty and shows just how he can't handle criticism well. Although this time it backfired on him. He assumed in his own arrogance that they would just follow like they have before. And FNC's ratings have been skyrocketing with every attack against them. We'll see if this nobleness continues. Or if it is just temporary.

Wow, and look how these same outlets described FNC just a few days before... PS: Greyson is so full of shit. He is like the DNC's shock-jock. And who dresses that guy?

![]() | Re: White House's Fox News Boycott Attempt Prompts Network Revolt But I am aware of an administration that did... Hell, even Helen Thomas has been harshly critical of Obama's relationship with the rest of the MSM exccluding FOX. But I am glad to see that all the other networks would boycott interviewing the Pay Czar unless FNC was included. Quote:
See Admiral Byng's case. Short version by proxy from Voltaire in Candide. "Dans ce pays-ci, il est bon de tuer de temps en temps un amiral pour encourager les autres." And if you have not read Candide... do so. It is very short and very easy to read and is even available in english. Also, the movie The Mission (Jeremy Irons, Robert De Niro, Aiden Quinn Liam Neeson - and the dude that sold wigs in Goodfellas too)is based on a chapter from Candide. The read his correspondence w/Catherine the Great on the subject of enlightened despotism. She plays him like a fiddle. Its beautful stuff in the writing... elegant and eloquent and the subject matter is illuminating as well.. so it scores big on two prongs. http://openlibrary.org/b/OL16247925M...e_II_of_Russia Quote:

What gets me is that Obama and his admin dont really understand that the vast populous is somewhere in the middle and disseminates their news through many different media outlets. So Fox is right and MSNBC is left... Okay? And? Thats kinda the whole point of free speech. Obama is alienated the middle with acts like this... The same middle that got him elected by such a wide margin. Its as if America is waking up from the trash can punch hangover.

Story is being rapidly debunked: http://www.mediaite.com/columnists/f...tely-unravels/ There have been no other sources come out, including these so-called network execs speaking out against administration. |

![]() | Re: White House's Fox News Boycott Attempt Prompts Network Revolt Flashback: Fox News Repeatedly Provided Uncritical Forum For GOP Calls For Prosecution Of NY Times As you know, Fox News is devoting hours and hours of airtime protesting the White House’s rough treatment of the network, claiming that it’s out of bounds for the Obama administration to assert that Fox isn’t a legit news organization. Fox’s on-air personalities are suggesting that other news orgs should rise to its defense. So maybe it’s worth recalling this: A few years ago, Fox News repeatedly provided an uncritical forum for Republican calls for criminal prosecution of a fellow news org — The New York Times — after the paper ran a story revealing details of the Bush administration’s secret program tracking the financial transactions of terrorist organizations. In June of 2006, Congressman Pete King — who was then chairman of the Homeland Security Committee and a key national security Republican — went on Fox News and called for prosecution of the paper in an interview with Fox’s Chris Wallace: I’m calling on the attorney general to begin a criminal investigation and prosecution of The New York Times, its reporters, the editors that worked on this, and the publisher. We’re in time of war, Chris, and what they’ve done here is absolutely disgraceful. I believe they violated the Espionage Act.Wallace didn’t utter a peep of objection. And that’s not all. King’s call for prosecution made huge news, and he was invited back onto Fox News to discuss it again. On his show, Bill O’Reilly gave King ample time to explain why prosecution of a fellow news org was warranted, and he registered no objections, even thanking King for his “straight talk.” Fox gave ample coverage to King’s demand for prosecution, and I can’t find any evidence that anyone on Fox ever condemned it. And the larger context is important. King’s calls for prosecution didn’t occur in isolation; they took place amid a broader assault by the Bush administration, which repeatedly accused the paper of putting America lives at risk. Does anyone remember if the Bush administration’s assault on The Times — and King’s calls for criminal prosecution — generated anywhere near the media outrage that the Obama White House’s assault on Fox has? That’s a sincere question. Anyone remember?

Same with radio commentators, journalists, what have you. Either way, it's all silly. Here's a biased newsclip from the enemy:

![]() | Re: White House's Fox News Boycott Attempt Prompts Network Revolt Quote: It is no defense of Obama to claim, "Bush did it too", quite rather that is an admission to the charge and an offer of the affirmative defense that, "they did it too - therefore we can do it." And they can do it if they wish. I think they're quickly realizing how stupid a policy it is... or maybe not. | |
