Yeah, and the one at the focus of the Faux news expose` was performed months ago as a part of Black History month. Nothing out of the ordinary. This has always taken place. Were you never a kid?

Yes, yes, I was...and there was never any hero worshiping involved like we see today. The Office was respected and recognized but there was never so much blind adoration for merely a person elected to office.

LMFAO, are you serious? It just sounds like something that was done in school. Like an "how did the president inspire you" or "lets make something about the president in history class" type of thing, and then you get the raps, and the songs, and the plays, oh and celebrating black history and all that. LOL@Hero Worshiping, that just sounds ridiculous. And you damn well know, crazyeyeballs and all, that its more than just "merely a person elected to office". Did you forget? Having a half white/half black president, that actually LOOKS black, was a big deal for people in this country whether it was good or bad. |

Vinnie you feel this way because you're from the Regan Generation. Like xian you guys were brainwashed to believe Reganonmics and Socialism is bad. Seriously man lighten up. You still have rights that most North Koreans don't. Mainly access to the internet. The right to come on a rave board and speak your mind. Now when Obama signs a law that outlaws Vinnie97 from posting on DDM then we've got problems. The mean time jam out to some Way out West.

Vinnie, the comparison to north korea is so piss poor...i would expect no less though from a faux news devotee. in north korea you bow and pray to a picture of kim jong before you wash your hands, eat, sleep, or do anything. A western doctor came to north korea to cure 200 people of their cataracs. you know who they thanked? not the doctor. but they sure praised kim jong. these are just kids singing the praises of a president that they love. they are entitled to their own opinions, with their parents guidance. totally different situation dude. another FAILbulous thread from DDM's own fox news mouthpiece.

Made you all look...and garnered many of the responses I expected; intolerant liberal hate speech from some of the biggest hypocrites on the planet (not all of you but you know who you are). Actually, we've had creeping socialism since the 30s with the New Deal but there's a point at which you have to stand against it, unless you think amassing the greatest national debt ever conceived by one national entity is the way forward. It's the subversive tactics and the approach to Marxism that bother me. Some of the skits/routines/lyrics above border on racism themselves but that's okay when it's coming from the left for a President who promises so much and delivers so little. One of the schools above is near the bottom of the list in academic performance...clearly, they've got their priorities straight! DataBass, I also hope I get that pleasure after Cap and Trade is passed and the blessed "government knows best" healthcare "reform" becomes law. Your serfdom to the government will be beyond anything you could have imagined. |

I lived in the 80s. I know what it was like. "Socialism" is a misunderstood and misused term. IMO, it is best thought of as part of a continuum rather than a point. Some gov't pregrams are necessary and some are not. The less necessary the more likely, imo, you can call them socialist. The less gov't intervention, generally the less you can call it socialist. Reaganomics, ftr, was a policy ratified by Bill Clinton. The supply-siders won. We debate where a tax bracket may fall and what rates but we've abandoned confiscatory taxation. More money in circulation means more invested, more sucked up by taxation means less pumped into the economy and less incentive to create wealth. Further, people often confuse socialism w/communism. They ain't the same animal. Quote:
Between 2,000,000 to 3,500,000 North Koreans starved to death (or died from issues related to severe malnutrition) between 1995 and 1998. That's half the DFW metro population. That's not bullshit. Those are NK numbers. Why should that be taken lightly? Lastly, indoctrination of school children is a very common hallmark of totalitarian governments... be they NK, Soviet, Maoist etc etc. | ||
