John Ashcroft is at it again!
I stopped by one Pipes Plus to say hi and hang for a bit today, and
found out (I have been under a rock) that there was a massive
nationwide bust on Monday that included the end of Jerome Baker
Designs, and other pipe makers. Others are on the map, obviously,
and are a bit shaky.

Is this just a way for the government to make uneducated citizens to think the feds are winning the "war on drugs"?

I mean give me a break...are we supposed to feel safer knowing that glass will be "less accessable"to the stoner public? I am glad that i work my ass off, so that the government can tax me, so they can fund a campaign on the "war on paraphanalia".

I personally own a Jerome Baker and can appreciate the art and class that comes along with it. God bless it.

Too much irony!! Does Ashcroft, or the fed, actually think that the general public will stop smoking because they can't order pipes over the net? Like it's real challenging to make a smoking device out of home products! I suppose Ashcroft feels that canibus users are more of a threat to Homeland Security than terrorists & that gov funds are better used for these purposes. This also brings to light something we already knew. The office of Homeland Security has many other agendas than the "protection" of US citizens.

Dallas is apparently next from what I hear. So if you frequent Retro in Plano, or any of the Gas Pipe locations, give those folks a heads up because they might not know. Tommy Chong got raided as well. And yeah, it's rediculous to think that they're busting down on headshops and glass blowers. I own quite a bit of hand blow glass artwork, so I can appreciate the effort that the artists put into creating their pipes. It's certainly not easy.

I remember reading in my rolling stones mag about a year or so ago, The DEA considers glow stick and WATER BOTTLES as drug paraphrenalia....I still have the copy of the mag some where

so every yupie in hollywood is a druggie, ok maybe that's a bad eample...umm every 7-11 is selling paraphrenalia
