If Bush could invoke evidence which is fabricated, lie about it, and continue on without telling the public, it seems that every statement he makes ought to be held suspect. He can't be trusted, just as Bush contends Hussein cannot.

Except for the CIA discrediting the "evidence" as well as the Director General of the IAEA disproving it's authenticity.

Now why was Bush pushing evidence as truth that his own experts were questioning?

The US and Britain told a story of Iraq trying to buy uranium from Africa. After reporting this information to the UN, an agency checked it out, and said that it was so blatantly false that either the US/UK didn't even READ what they were submitting, or they deliberately falsified documents on Iraq trying to buy Uranium.

Honestly, Bush is lucky that the average American has a short attention span. He can lie, and the average person will hear it and take it to heart. No matter how often it comes up that the original statement was a lie, based on evidence that didn't exist, he will still reiterate the original statement as if it were truth.

This is why I will take any news of WMD found in Iraq as suspect, at best. An administration which made its case for war based on lies it fabricated wouldn't be too hard pressed to plant evidence to justify their war.

furthermore, Charlie Rangel a congressional democrat
has come out on national television and stated all
of bush's motives for this war. one of which is: OIL

he said that bush told him PERSONALLY that he is
only interested in iraqi oil to save the ecomony.
yet he tells the american people that the oil obtained
after the war will be used to rebuild iraq and it will
benefit the iraqi ppl.

this war has been forced.

Rangel disclosed a LOT more of bush's secrets as well.
i admire the man for his courage.

so for people to say that they believe everything
that comes out of bush's mouth...

that's the problem..

rational americans sometimes have to be cynical
about the government. if you allow yourself to
be spoon fed lies, it will only come back to bite
you in the ass later on and the only thing you'll
be able to say is: "i didn't know.."

and i have a question for those who follow
bush no matter what, like he is god and only
speaks the truth:

do you believe everything bush says because:

A) If Bush said it then it must be the truth?

B) Bush said it and he's a truthful man?

C) What he said is the truth?

i'd like to know.

Bush has been a big fat liar all his life.

It amazes me that anyone in this state still trusts this man after all the bullshit he fed us while he was the governor.

It baffles me so much that people that are into this scene, one which either goes against or ignores almost all republican values and has been a target of right-wing opposition for years, actually believe what a republican tells them.
