I don't support the mission they have been ordered to carry out, but I support the troops by demanding we bring them home NOW!!! I wave a large American flag at every anti-war rally, because it belongs to me as much as it belongs to the impulsive warhawks. I'll be damned if I let them have a monopoly on the flag that to me is supposed to represent freedom, liberty, and justice, the ideas for which our forefathers gave their minds, their blood, sweat, and tears during American Revolution. I'm not going to let that be in vain by sitting back and let people preach to me that we need to "shut up and support our troops."

America's protests against the war are the highest form of patriotism. These protests have always been about the well-being of the American people, our troops, the Iraqi citizens, and protecting them from demagogues that have the power to deceive us into believing we need to send our military overseas to wage illegal, unjust, and immoral wars.

Unfortunately, that is not the case now. It's disgusting that people have been hoodwinked into thinking it's patriotic to sacrifice our men and women in the military for waging an unjust and immoral war on a country that has already been put to their knees by 12 years of sanctions.
