Damn, of all the footage you see of the Iraqi soldiers shooting like amatuers and you're the one fool who gets clipped by, what was prolly miscellaneous fire from a dune. It does make me look at this differently when there is gun to gun, hand to hand combat as opposed to Bill Gates sitting near the Ocean with a GPS firing projectiles all over the place. |

wait until the "coalition" forces get to baghdad. should the republican guard put up a decent fight, it will be very ugly. and i would not be at all surprised to see the city peppered with chem/bio weapons.

When the coalition forces get to Baghdad, if the Republican Guard has setup inside the city in tight places they will be hit with falling ordinance - of course, they will put innocents in the way, as they have been known to do. However, it is highly unlikely that they will do so - the Iraqis are not trained for close quarters, street combat. Our special ops teams, along with many different divisions within the regular units are trained for those sorts of situations. Our military leadership doesn't feel that it will come to a street war, but maybe some minor skirmishes. In fact, today, our leadership said that they would "in no way" want to or pursue a close-quarters, street war. IMHO, everything will fall apart a long time before that were to happen anyway - and what will happen in Baghdad are some minor skirmishes and some major surrenders. |
