When we drop our next nuclear bomb, will we call it precision A-bombing??

Here's an interesting article on our precision missile and bombing attacks.

So if I haven't lost a limb from a tomahawk missile attack, I have no platform on which to sincerely voice my outrage?

Tell that to Bush, not me. I realize that this economy is suffering, and our government going on a rampage throughout the middle East that's going to cost the American taxpayers at least $100 billion sure ain't gonna help it.

Tell it to the people holding up Bush's budget in Congress, too. The overall costs associated with the war can be dealt with rather handily after we understand the entire cost (in economic terms, not in the "costs" associated with the loss of life).

Yeah, no shit. It kinda makes me sick that stocks have been goin up since we went to war. The true stupidity of Americans is showing through with this. For no other reason that the misconception that war is good for the economy people start buying stocks again?!?! WTF?!

I won't complain, though. I guess it's a good thing.

And Krispy, how can you have an attitude like that? I have never been harmed by a drunk driver, but I'm still pissed that people drive drunk. I've never gotten some bad drugs that landed me in the hospital or the cemetary, but I'm still pissed that sheisty drug dealers pass off dangerous shit as real product (like ecstacy, acid, speed all the stuff that can be cut with nasty shit). I've never had somebody slip me GHB in a drink, but I'm pissed that people do that shit. If you go through life not giving a fuck about anything that doesn't affect you directly, then I feel sorry for you.

Electric Cowboy - If all you lose is your limb to a tomahawk, the next step in your life should be walking on water. As for your consulting to our president comment, you seem so eager to activate remorse for the victims of the missles but where is your sympathy for the families here starving because of our economy. I am sure you have it, but it would be a nice change if someone would actually take their minds from CNN for 1 hour and try to focus on the USA.

Big Andy - my attitude is mine developed by me, experiences from Persian Gulf and Afghanastan operations have instilled my bitter conclusions. Things for me to care for are precious in my mind, just because you have a different concept does not mean I or you are lesser than the other, but if you wish to push this into a Krispy's Attitude Rectifier Thread, you will fail.

Maybe part of his sentiment is that the government should be focusing on our economy, not bombing the poor fuckers in Iraq.

Typical anti-war twisted hypocrisy propaganda – christian flavored. Now that we have seen these photos, why don’t you show us the much more horrifying photos of the Iraqi people killed, tortured and raped, by Saddam’s regime on one side, and the SANCTIONS inflicted to Iraq on the other side, going on for over a decade. Care to do some math now, and compare the number of people killed so far by doing nothing and keep the sanctions going, with the number of people killed by this war?

This anti-war propaganda has become the most disgusting thing I ever had the displeasure to listen to.

You can find that all over the world, not just in Iraq, so are we going to wage a unprovoked war on all of these other sovereign nations (many of whom have been our allies for a long time). I guess as long as we do not lower ourselves to the likes of Saddam Hussein, then we are off the hook when it comes to our government's own bloody, destructive rampage throughout the Middle East and sacrificing thousands of Iraqi lives and our soldiers just to topple three people? We are supposed to be better than that too, or at least we should be. For every atrocity committed by the U.S. is magnified many fold because of our supreme status in the world, which is gradually deteriorating.

If we are talking about Iraq, please stay on the subject of Iraq, and don’t wander all over the world. Other countries are not Iraq. Either we talk about Iraq or we talk about other countries, make up your mind!

Furthermore, I didn’t ask you to give us, once again, the evil picture of the US Government. I asked you to show us the horrifying killings, tortures, and rapes committed by Saddam’s regime, and the killings and suffering inflicted to the Iraqi people as a result of our sanctions against Iraq going on for over 10 years. Then, I asked you to make some math and compare the number of killings going on in Iraq as it is, with the number of casualties of this and the last gulf war together. Then we will see which option kills, and killed, more people.

The rhetoric of other dictators in other countries does NOT justify what happens in Iraq, and does NOT justify the continuation of Saddam’s regime. That is a twisted hypocritical view at best.

Look, we can predict for this war probably less than 10,000 casualties. But after the war is over, we can rebuild the country, remove all sanctions, and free the Iraqi people from slavery and tyranny.

If we don’t do anything far more than 10,000 people will probably die by the end of this year anyway due to the current status quo. And then, the same death toll will be repeated year after year. What part of the equation don’t you understand?

Basically, what your are saying is that it is OK for Saddam and our sanctions to kill, torture, and rape, but it is demoniac and evil for the US to kill a limited number of people as casualty of a war that is trying to free the country from tyranny.

Based on your twisted concept, I have to gather that second WW was also wrong as it killed millions of people. What you are saying then, is that we would have been better off to submit ourselves to the Hitler regime, as oppose to fight against that regime and kill millions of people in the process!

I don’t think anyone in his or her right mind can share your concept.

And lastly, if this war is categorically wrong as you want us to believe, then by all means, tell us what realistic alternative do you have in mind in order to free the country from tyranny and misery as quick as possible, like in a time-frame of within a few months.

And please avoid the rhetoric of lecturing us about the responsibilities of the US government in creating the monster Saddam. We all know that the US, France (as a major role player), and Russia, are responsible for creating Saddam. But that’s history. It’s the past. Pointing finger doesn’t help anyone, and sure doesn’t help innocent Iraqi people. We need to move on and repair the damage done. That is what counts, the rest is only blabber that doesn’t help anybody.
