Korea-do they want to be liberated?

Do you think Korea is next?
IMO
The(Majority) of North Koreans do not want to be liberated.
I feel this from hearing and reading random interviews w/ Korean citizens etc.
That's one campaign we can't mask up w/ a humanitarian effort.
Unless we were to begin sending them large supplies of food or consulting w/ leaders of China and North Korea in order to help stimulate their economy.

I have mixed feelings about this one.

On one hand, there is all the talk about North Korea, and their nuclear capabilities. Bush has said "they will get theirs too". People complained about why Iraq, when NK is threatening us.

On the other hand, NK has been pretty quiet recently. NK doesn't provide any sort of economic advantage for us to control, which makes the effort pretty unimportant in Bush's eyes.


There's been a lot of subtle hints given by the Bush junta that Syria and Iran are going to be next in line to be "liberated", which would be convenient since the troops are already right there.

The easy way to win the hearts of the North Koreans is to provide them with food and Aid. Providing food is cheap than going to war with them and Seoul won't be destroyed.

Honestly, I don't really think the majority of North Korean people are happy. Many of them try and run away to China(and get sent back), and how good can your life be if China is an improvement?

Of course, I'm completely opposed to the US government sticking it's nose in other people's business(and in mine), so even if they aren't happy, I think we should stay out of it, they can liberate themselves.

Now if begin a campaign of aggression against another country(most likely Japan) then that's different.
