RAVE Act Passes – Tell Ashcroft Not to Abuse It

Late on Thursday, April 10, 2003, the Senate and House the Illicit Drug Anti-Proliferation Act (formerly known as the RAVE Act) as an attachment to the Amber Alert Bill (a child abduction bill). The bill is likely to be signed into law by the President in the next few weeks. Fax Attorney General Ashcroft right now! Urge him and President Bush to make clear and careful enforcement decisions that uphold our freedom of speech, right to peacefully assemble, and our right to dance! We thank our supporters for their faxes and encouragement. We will continue to work in coalition to fix this dangerous law.

HAHAHAHAHAHA... Are you serious? Do you really think there is any chance that Fuhrer Ashcroft (as well as local authorities) won't abuse this legislation to the maximum?!?!

Say goodbye to the rave scene.... what's left of it anyways. All the elitist/intolerant assholes managed to get the ball rolling on killing the rave scene, now the federal government gets to finish the job in the name of the war on drugs.

---Emailing/faxing Ashcroft is a waste of time. Remember, Ashcroft just initiated the bong task force, a couple of months ago, in which several glass pipe manufacturers were targeted. As stupid as that was, he's all over the Rave Act which actually has some legitimate purposes in the eyes of people not in our scene.
