![]() | STILL think it hasn't been about oil? L.A. Times article from friday WASHINGTON -- The Pentagon's exclusive no-bid contract with a Halliburton Co. subsidiary for emergency oil-field services in Iraq could be worth as much as $7 billion over the next two years, according to a document made public Thursday. NO-BID CONTRACT???? no one else was allowed to bid on this contract but dick cheney's old company. i'm sorry, but that just doesn't sound good. john |

my concern is that halliburton will encounter "certain cost overruns" and "unforeseable additional expenses" to help boost that total up closer to the limit of the contract. john | |
