Chicago! ![]() Seriously though, I'm with Mark on this, I hate Texas, I just happen to be stuck here for the time being. This time next year I'll probably be in either San Diego or Boston, depending on how things work out, and within 5 years I don't expect to be living in this country anymore. It'll be nice to be back in Ireland.

It sucks so much trying to get work visas.... I am most likely going to Japan in a year or so to teach. I am not living in poverty here by any means, and from what I've seen and read, the pay for teaching English over there is pretty damn good in comparison to what you'd make here doing the same thing. Plus, i've not seen Asia at all yet. So it'll be fun! Bye bye Amerika!

Not to hijack your thread, and not to tell Warlord something he might already know, but according to several of the people I know who do HR for a living, unless you're in some serious serious niche market on the high end of the executive or technical ladder, people don't hire people who have to relocate. Out of state resumes go in the "save for a year because the law tells me I have to" drawer. If you want a job out of state you're pretty much going to have to move where you want and then find a job. Again, there are exceptions and you may be one of them, but I would suggest that approach as it got me here, and it's definately going to get me out. |

Yea, relocation packages are rare. I would suggest saving up money to move on your own(if you aren't already) and start applying a month or two before you head to whatever city you like.

![]() It was a great experience, but tough as hell. I suggest, although for many people it's not as much money, going somewhere to teach english. For most places, all you need is a college degree (and it doesn't even matter what degree you have). Once you're over there and making money (albeit possibly less), and have experience in that country and with the language (where applicable), your chances might improve on finding something more in your desired field of work.
