Block nomination of Bill Pryor as supreme court justice !!

Our lovely President Bush wants to get this psycho into the Supreme Court. If he succeeds, the Bush legacy of destroying the fundamental pillars of our nation will go far beyond his stay in office, lasting for decades to come. This is truly frightening.

--snip--

Urge the Senate Judiciary Committee to Reject the Nomination of Bill Pryor http://capwiz.com/fmf1/issues/alert/?alertid=2536801

Pryor has called Roe v. Wade "the worst abomination of constitutional law in our history" and "the day seven members of our high court ripped the Constitution and ripped out the life of millions of unborn children."

He has compared homosexuality to prostitution, adultery, necrophilia, bestiality, child pornography, incest, and pedophilia. He supported the placement of a two-ton Ten Commandments monument in the rotunda of Alabama's Supreme Court building. In addition, he wrote an article arguing that the federal government should remove itself from efforts to protect women from violence.

Pryor has demonstrated an ideology dangerously far to the right. His nomination should be defeated.

I hope he makes it. It is about time the capitalist scum in the abortion industry were stopped from their heinous assault on human rights.

Have you even bothered to look at any of this guys other opinions? Abortion isn't the only issue here.

By supporting this nominationg you advocate removing protections limiting violence against women. As someone obviously concerned with human rights (Based on your abortion comments) this should concern you. I guess it doesnt.

What about the ten commandments monuments? Are you all for abolishing the separation of church and state set forth by the constitution?

I agree with a lot of his policies, but absolutely not all. I think his environmental policies are shit, a typical republican problem. I also believe his stance on the war on drugs is completely in tune with the "out of whack" stance of the right wing.

Where do you get that? What protections is he wanting to remove? Of course it would concern me.

I am against the establishment of religion and anything that prohibits the free exercise of personal religious belifs. As for the ten commandments monuments, why not? Western law and social moral codes are all based on the fundamental moral guides of Judeo-Christian beliefs. It's a historical issue, and I don't think we should be afraid to admit it.
