Hes GOD, he can make money....or hell come down here himself and talk. I dont need to give the church my money. lets do services on the side of a hill and have a picnic like Jesus did. Screw 5 million dollar sanctuaries. Give me a tree and some grass.

Accepting homosexuality is basically going against the bible and questioning its validity. It's going to be interesting to see how this pans out.

WHERE? if youre speaking of sodom and gemmorah the ACTUAL translation is "so that we may know them"......just like the rest of the bible, thats way open to interpretation. oh and the actual aramaic word for love quite often used in the bible by jesus refering to peter....is interpreted as well......that kind of love, if you know what i mean.

has anyone else noticed i like to use periods?

Spouting off 2nd hand hearsay rather than investigate for yourself, good idea.

The fact is that one can find a passage in the Bible to support just about any stance they want on any subject. There's enough vague platitudes in the Bible to keep zealots happy for eternity. I say we make a new religion based on Aesop's Fables and see how long it takes before one of us buys land in Waco.

Why wouldn't you? Would you rather go into a religious debate with hearsay as your only weapon, or knowledge of the subject at your disposal? It pays to prepare, and it makes your argument that much more effective when you can use their own material against them. Why sound ignorant when you can do a little background work and make the other person look like the idiot?

At the very least it's a good book with some stories that have solid morals backing them. If everyone treated the Bible more like Aesop's Fables rather than the word of God, we'd have a lot less serious problems between differing religions. The Bible isn't the problem, it's the interpreters that are fucking everything up.
