I can't say I agree with either side here, but if you understand anything about what the Republicans are doing right now, then there is no logical way to pin this whole thing on the Democrats. Anyway, sending care packages of diapers and baby toys (I'm sure with our tax money) is enormously childish and illustrates clearly the outlandishly low level to which these maggots have sunk. This applies to the DemocRATS and the RepubliCONS.

The Repubs bear some responsibility for this, since they should have tried harder to bring this up during the general session and fought it out then more so then they did.

And on the care packages, I read somewhere, but can't find out where that all the shennagans are being paid for out of campaign funds, this inculudes, but is not limited to the Dems plane flights out of state and out of state lodging. For the Repubs, it is these care packages that they are sending, which I think is a funny idea. If we all step back for a minute most people will have to admit that they work somewhere where something like this (sending care packages) would be considered a good joke.

I'll be the first one to support pranks, I'm all about the Hijinx. However, this wasn't funny, it was moronic, unoriginal, and childish. If it was funny then I would laugh, however it shows what little brain power these guys have, they can't even come up with a good prank. At best this is a grade school level prank, they can't even come up with a collegiate level prank. Losers!

Let's see, a couple hundred dollars for dumb care packages vs. the cost of 2 private jets being flown to New Mexico and maintained in hangars until their return, not to mention the cost of the hotel rooms, room service, cell phones(gov't expensed of course), assistants, and other misc. expenses. This isn't even getting into the extra expense of holding a 2nd special session because the Dems bolted the 1st time.

I think if we're going to talk about frivilous spending, there's bigger fish to fry with regards to the holdout than a couple silly care packages.

I am referring to the whole ordeal. The Republicans clearly attempt to abuse their power to disenfranchise certain voters who are not in line with their political agenda. The Democrats then throw a temper tantrum and run off to hide, burning our money every step along the way. The Republicans counter by forcing a special session to waste even more of our money which then results in the Democrats running off AGAIN to keep up the trend. Finally, the Republicans, displaying the complete lack of professionalism and maturity in the Texas political scene pull a stunt that would make a 12-year-old's eyes roll. They're a bunch of worthless MAGGOTS, and we keep letting them run us into the ground by stealing more of our money and raping us of our freedoms all so they can further their own enormous egos by pushing their gang-like partisan politics and whoring us out to special interest. And what do we do? We sit here and play their little game. It's all about politics, NOT issues, isn't it? F*#@ these tools and the tax payer-funded limos they rode in on!
