I remember in AP US History in high school the teacher would encourage debate amongst the students. Liberals, Democrats, Conservatives, Republicans, Facists, Socialists, etc. all would argue each other. When she got involved she was always liberal in bent.
So one day our Republican "leader" asked her "So, what party are you?"
She replied "Im not gonna tell, but all I'll say is I admit sometimes my party can be wrong."
To which I said, "Youre a Democrat."

Back to the topic, I didn't remember this happening back in '93. I stand corrected, it's now a childish maneuver that both parties have used. I still don't agree with it though.

You're right it is wrong. But why don't the Rep's wait until 2010 for the next census before trying to gerrymander the re-districting?
