Teen kidnapped and tortured

A US teenager was kidnapped and tortured for six days of beating and chemical injections in a US hotel room by his former girlfriend and her vengeful husband, authorities said today.

The two have been charged, a third suspect telling police the kidnapping was an act of revenge.

He said the husband was angry that the teenager had slept with his wife and wanted to get even, according to an affidavit.

The 18-year-old victim said he met Krystle Ann Cole Skinner and Gordon Todd Skinner at a rave party, and dated Krystle Skinner while the couple had temporarily broken up. Police have not released the victim's name.

Police said the couple and truck driver William Ernest Hauck kidnapped the teenager during the Fourth of July weekend from a Tulsa hotel and took him about 700m south to a hotel in Houston.

Police said Gordon Skinner injected chemicals he thought would cloud the teenager's memory and cause gangrene, so body parts would fall off, according to the affidavit.

The victim said he had taken a psychedelic drug associated with psilocybin mushrooms the night of the kidnapping. The next thing he can recall, he was bound and gagged.

He was found, bloody and dehydrated, in a field in Texas City, Texas – about 56 km away – July 11.

Police picked him up and took him to a hospital. He survived but told the Tulsa World he only recently regained the ability to eat solid food.

The three suspects were charged yesterday with kidnapping and conspiracy.

Gordon Skinner, 39, who was also charged with assault and battery, is jailed in Reno, Nevada, on federal drug-trafficking charges.

Krystle Skinner, 22, a University of Tulsa student, remained at large. Hauck, 53, was expected to turn himself in, said Tulsa Police Cpl Gene Watkins.
