The nation’s premier human rights and civil liberties organizations have joined hands to organize a non-partisan flagship event to focus the 2004 election campaign on the fundamental rights of citizens. The Civil Rights Conference will host Martin Luther King III and Warith Deen Mohammed (son of the late Elijah Mohammed) among several other notable speakers to discuss how civil rights are being redefined by recent and proposed legislative initiatives under the current administration in Washington, D.C.
