At the very least that shows that violent media isn't some horribly warping influence which turns everybody into maniacs. Hopefully that kid'll get some sort of counseling now.

some critics point the finger at music, video games, tv, mother father, I believe most of the anger comes from the bullies at school, picking on fellow students who don't have nice clothes, or being poor, looking different, students who are openly gay get picked on and beat up, and its sad cause you goto school to learn and to prepare for your future. I'm sure some of it is linked to young ages, as you get older you muture more, but I believe that more should be done at schools to prevent things like that from hapening.

We're talking deeply rooted emotional problems. This also goes for the bullies themselves. Some have these same problems of not having good relationships with their folks. Others have great relationaships, but are encouraged by their shitty ass parents to engage in gay bashing/nerd bashing/racist activity. The parents who do care may not see/know that they are giving kids at school shit who are less well off/not as good looking/different from them. No one person is at fault for this kind of shit. It's a combination of factors and different in each situation. I think the biggest factor in most situations does stem from parent involvement, though. Whether it's the parent that doesn't care if their kid picks on other kids, or the parent that doesn't pay enough attention to realize that their own child is struggling so much that they are contemplating suicide or murder.
