Where's Dick?

Where in the hell is Dick Cheney? I'm not criticizing him so don't get started with the bashing, but I was thinking I haven't seen him in...uh...how long has Dubya been in office? Has anyone heard anything about him or from him in the last several months? Is he still alive? I know Quayle and Gore were both in the public eye a lot, because the media used to make fun of them all the time. Why are they hiding him? God knows America would feel safer seeing his face on TV than Howdy Doody Dubya.

I've got the same question Ryan. I even posed it to my Step-Father over thanksgiving (my parent's are both hardline Conservatives. My Dad is a Dem, it's interesting to get to hear both's ideas on the subjects.

Anyway back to the point. My Step-Father seems to think it's for security reasons, but I think that's just a bunch of BS and he watches too much Fox News I try not to get into arguments with anyone over politics, so I just voiced my concern as a "younger" adult about the lack of public appearances from our vice. We discussed the matter at length but could not agree. I took the hardline stance that as long as he is far away from Bush at the time, there shouldn't really be too many security concerns. He stood by his stance of security reasons.

I think he is hiding from the media personally, but we didn't get into that, cause like I said I don't like arguing about politics. I knew it would turn into more of an argument at that point as opposed to a discussion, cause like I said he's a hardline conservative.

He's probably being kept out of the public eye to keep him from having to be accountable for some of his remarks about the war on Iraq.
