i'm thinking about selling my iMac G5 with 20" screen, 2 GHz Intel Core Duo with 512 MB 667 MHz RAM.

just trying to get some ideas on pricing. im gonna be taking it to the Apple store to get it all cleaned out and get its yearly tune up. its just now 2 years old and in perfect condition.

what does the ever so powerful and knowledgeable DDM community think.

yeah its upgradeable to 2 gigs. i need to finish clearing off all the porn and it will be good to go. actually i just need to take it into the apple store to have them give it and enema and transfer some stuff to my new one.

i'd say a week depending on the down time at the apple store.

So, did you use this computer for audio or video production? I'm just wondering how well it would run Logic, Final Cut and any other production software compared to a desktop G5 with the dual core? I have looked up the info, but it's always better to ask someone who has used it.

Also, what version of OSX are you running?

its running tiger edition...OS x 10.4.11. to tell you the truth...i never used it for anything but internet and that about it. used garage band a few times but that it. if you were gonna run final cut or logic i would definitely bump up the RAM a little. all i did was upload pictures, and music, and browse...so why did i go and buy a new 24" iMac??? fuck if i know. it was pretty and shiny...should have bought new DJ equipment. oh well. i'm gonna schedule an appointment with the apple store this week and she'll be good as new. still has a year left on the apple care too...i think its done in november.
