decent for what? for todays games a vid card will cost that alone.

btw, original poster, what gaming specifically? I just built a decent system for about $450 but it was on board video, would probably handle some games at mediocre settings but it was made for something else.

You want a good gaming set up look to put slightly more into it.

works great for how old it is. the only prob is the battery doesn't hold much of a charge. we use it in our home office.

If you want to play games, the ati 4750 is about 150-170$ on sale and its the best bang for your buck. BUT! the nvidia cards prices have all been slashed because the 55 nm chips are coming soon. So you can score things like a 8600 for 50$ or 9600 for 100$ frys had tons of cards marked down just this last weekend.

If you want to be a gamer with the a good rig you pretty much have to build it yourself, or buy alienware which is like 3000$. A dell XPS system is like 2000$. You can save 40% or more building it yourself.

Just watch the ads for places like frys, not best buy though.

Ive got a decent Dell Optiplex for sale, its about 1.5GHz celeron (will verify processor speed tonight) has a 80GB SATA harddrive, integrated audio and video
its a Dell Optiplex 330

its missing the CD drive but I can find one of those if youre interested in the PC
