Western Digital recently announced their newest 300g Raptor Hard Drive dubbed "VelociRaptor". It will hit the streets in about a month and it will blow everything we know about hard drives out of the water for a cheap price. Also, they use less energy than any thing ever manufactured. It runs faster than drive setup for RAID0 and it is faster ad reliable than Solid State Disks which have no internal mechanisms to heat up and fail. The SSD's are very small when it comes to gig size and they top off over at $1000+.

I'm offering them for $352

Halp! is now taking orders for these news hard drives and they will be here in 1-2 weeks, quicker than when all stores will have them.

These will sellout everywhere quickly.

In fact alot of retail stores have no idea about these even coming. The markup will be well over my cost to those interested. I'll also, free of charge, transfer your old hard drive to the new one.

the velociraptor doesnt come in a 500gb. 300 is the biggest they make at the moment IIRC. Hard to fit that much stuff on a 2.5" platter

I was referring to the other 500GB drive he had been offering before
these will jsut be used for storage and not performance
I would probably just use an 80GB raptor drive if i needed higher performance

I have one 500g left but I've got someone in line for it. If he doesn't come through, then its yours.

Telling people that a hard drive is "non-failing" can be very deceptive. So, if you re-worded your title, maybe I wouldn't be such a smart ass.

Did I use the term "non" or "never"? That make a big difference in comprehending my point. If I were to use the description of "never", that would imply that it is certainly guaranteed. Using "non" suggests that, although not for certain, there is a chance of failure.

10000 rpm HDD's are not the fastest known to man. I have seen plenty of 15K rpm SCSI drives that have lower seek/write times.
