Description: This is a sales management position that oversees event and sponsorship revenue for six radio stations in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas. This position works directly with and reports to the Director of Sales to coordinate all revenue and sponsorships from station events. Applicant must be self-motivated and is responsible for helping the Account Executives and Local Sales management to maintain current accounts, as well as be responsible for creating new business.

Job Requirements:

The Ideal Candidate will posses:

· Excellent leadership, negotiating and communication skills.

· A Strong background in outside sales (mandatory - radio or broadcast media preferred)

· Management experience with the ability to hire, coach, train, counsel, and motivate sales teams.

· Candidate will have the ability to work independently or in a team setting, as well as handle stress, deadlines and related financial pressures.

· A proven track record of successfully forecasting and managing an annual budget.

· An understanding of broadcasting, marketing, promotions, Internet, pricing, inventory, and collections; along with extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices will be key ingredients to ensure success in this position.

· Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(k), Paid Vacation and Sick Leave.

In radio the term 'Imaging' refers to Audio Production... as in all the sweepers, station IDs, Station Promos, etc... that run between songs and commercials. Basically giving an 'audio image' of the station on air. Is that what you are referring to? It's very hard to get into that realm of radio unless you have Commercial Production experience. I did that for years both for Clear Channel and freelance for stations around the country... and it's the one part of Radio Programming that I actually miss.

I interned at the edge when it was 94.5 way back in 99. Was imaging assist. for the two guys working there. Then got into film so droped that.

Now Lou does Imaging over there... at least that's the last I knew. The head of Programming over there now is an old boss of mine from Houston named Vince. He is by far the biggest douchebag I have ever met in my life when it comes to being a Programmer, both with the way he homogenizes radio (typical Clear Channel) and with the way he values and treats his employees. If he hasn't upset the entire building programming-wise yet, he will soon.

Yeah, Kenny was a big dude with glasses. Worked with him and Shanne. It was fun at the time but then again I wasn't a real employee. I remember everyone bitching cause they had to fill out new insurnace forms everytime the company was sold.
