The ideal roommate:
- Male or female, 21-30 yrs old – preferably a young professional; must provide two latest pay stubs at interview.
- Steady job, good personal & professional references (2 each) and good renting history
- $325/mo + utilities (gas, electric, water, internet + cable)
- First rent payment due the day of move-in, rent payments due in advance
- No dogs (allergic); however, cat-friendly
- We would share the living areas, but your bedroom is on the other side of the house than ours.
- 420 friendly, but no drugs and not wild and crazy

About the house:
3 bedrooms, 2 bath, washer & dryer, bar & fireplace, front & back yard. Quiet family neighborhood (if you can ignore the blaring tejano music on weekends), close to the DART rail station in Downtown Garland, Walking distance from shopping centers/various restaurants.
About us:
You’d be living with a 20-something professional couple. He’s a brewer; she works for the local newspaper. We enjoy good food, good music and other finer points in life. We’re quiet for the most part (especially during the week, and we’d like to keep it that way) but we know how to have a good time and enjoy doing so, and we aren’t up-tight. We have one adorable kitty who thinks he runs the place and is very friendly and out-going (he play-fights like a panther). We are laid back, friendly, intelligent people and would prefer someone who is the same.

The situation is we, my g/f and I, had a roommate and he bailed on us and the lease to go live with his girl friend in Fort Worth. Currently one of my friends is living in the extra room, but he is moving to Indiana at the end of the month. We are conducting interviews, checking references, as well as asking for a steady job and check stubs. I tried to make it work with just the two of us but I was broke all of the time and we are trying to save money so we can eventually move to another state as well. I am stuck in this lease for until Jan. 2010.

Well I don't really consider weed a drug. I know anything that alters your perception is considered a drug but under that definition Co2 could be a drug too.
