The one I have from verizon sucks and it won't let me play xbox online.


Anyone have an old one they want to part ways with?

I have an old 2 Wire modem, which can be hard wired or is wireless. I am not sure what it is compatible with though, since I got it for SBC/Yahoo! service.

There you go man...just pick the model that you have from the list and then go down to xbox 360 and follow the instructions on how to open up ports...let me know if you need any help. Try that before you buy anything because i'm pretty sure your issue is blocked ports and thats it...

yeah i cant even login to the damn modem to do anything. it sucks. its all jacked up. i work in IT (networking at that) so i know i'm not retarded with the modem. i just don't understand it at all.... even consulted with some other it people.

Are you sure you aren't mixing up routers and modems? A modem should allow you to do anything. A router could possibly restrict connections based on the ports you have open or closed.

Depends, some can be but most arent. Just call them up, give them the MAC and tell them to provision your modem.
