 | WTB P4 Chip
I'm just trying to fix a buddies computer. I'm fairly sure its the chip because it wont post, but it will turn on, but wont turn the monitor on. (feel free to convince me its something else) Anyway, I'm looking for a cheap new/used chip, possible locally. Anyone know where to shop? not paying 90$ for a 3.2 P4, cheap 2.4 is ok. |

Based on this description it can still be a motherboard or video card problem. I have a P4 HT 478 i'd be willing to part with. It's the CPU in my studio so it's a known good and still working chip and motherboard. |

Thanks for the replies. I ended up going to the used computer part store. I paid a little more than I wanted to but I just wanted to get it done instead of having a torn apart computer sitting around my apartment for the next 2 weeks.
