![]() | FS: MB Quart Home Theater
This is a bookshelf system that I've had for approx 10 years. The last 6 years only the front two speakers have been used for my computer. The rest have been in the closet. 2 Front 5 1/4" 2-way MB Quart "domain" speakers 1 Dual 5 1/4" "Domain CTR" Center Channel (may be a dual 4" ... will have to check) 2 3-way mb quart "balcony series" surround speakers (di pole with top firing 4" mid) Sub setup: 1 JL Audio 10" sub in a bandpass box to use as a sub 1 Petras 150w home audio subwoofer amp to drive it. I'll throw in a kenwood receiver that will do dolby digital (no dts) and one of the A channels cuts out occasionally where i have to turn the receiver on and off. $325 for the whole setup. Plenty of low end and good volume out of this complete setup. I would probably recommend looking at a new receiver in the future, but this kenwood can get you by on the cheap for now. Pictures and better specs will be up soon.

MB Quart makes some nice sounding speakers for the home. If I had the cash right now I'd pick it up.

MB Quarts were always some of my favorite mid-hi speakers for my car. Sure it translates to some nice fidelity in the home. Throwing in that receiver is nice, too...and I'll bet that a-channel could be fixed by cracking it open & using some contact solution. Too bad it doesn't decode DTS, but given that most movies with DTS also have a Dolby soundtrack, you should be good. This is an awesome package for anyone...wish I had some cash and/or the need for another system...just figured I'd cosign on the goods. |

Yes, I'm pretty much giving all this stuff away since we just moved and now I have a room full of items that are no longer being used. I will probably regret it in about a year when I get everything organized and think to myself, "Now... where is that MB Quart system to setup..." lol The sub box and amp are probably worth the $325 alone.
