This is a auction for a Tiffany and Co. Platinum wedding band / engagement ring that was purchased new on 10/15/2004. This ring has had only one owner and has been well cared for, with very minimal normal wear. There is no damage at all to the ring, setting of the diamond, or diamond itself. The original receipt is included stating that the ring was purchased for the price of $5899.63 at the Tiffany & Co. Store in Beverly Hills. The band is made from true Tiffany Platinum and due to its extraordinary purity, Tiffany Platinum is proudly certified 95% pure platinum and 5% ruthenium. Note that Tiffany does not use cobalt as an alloy because its oxidation would dull the platinum luster. Because Tiffany Platinum is color-free and does not tarnish, it is often the metal of choice to display a diamond's brilliance. The Band is stamped with the famous Tiffany logo and the number for which the ring is registered through Tiffany. The .66 carat diamond is a brilliant cut and comes with original Tiffany & Co. Gemological Lab report. The clarity of the diamond is VVS2 and only an expert can detect flaws with a 10X microscope. Because this diamond has a VVS2 clarity it means that it has very very slight inclusions and on a GIA clarity grading scale it means it is next to flawless. The Shape of the diamond is round with a measurement of 5.58 - 5.61 X 3.48 mm. As stated in the report, the total depth percentage is 62.2%, the table diameter percentage is 55%, and the crown angle is 34.0". This diamond has a pavilion depth percentage of 43.4 %. The griddle is thin to medium, faceted. The presence: symmetry is very good, polish is very good, and the precision of cut is very good as well. The color grade is H. All other info in included in the report as shown. The Diamond is registered through Tiffany with the # 18788888/E09241912. The Diamond is replaced at no cost by Tiffany if diamond is lost or becomes loose. Reserve is set at $3000, but I am willing to take offers and answer any questions you might have. wow, almost 6k for .66 carat diamond? wow. i mean, H / VVS2 is nice and all, but someone should have gone direct instead of paying for the tiffany name. got a 1.5 carat and set in platinum from the world trade center here in dallas for just over 3k. hell, i just got back from st thomas and spent 600 for a little over 1.25 carats of loose stones with the same color and clarity, lol.

but the designer label helps resale value. its like a signed piece of art. but you two are smart enough to realize you can get a bigger better rock for less money without the name brand setting.
