| "Fucking U make me Bilingual"... M3 at Zephyrs
History and Information: This track by Harry Choo Choo on Subliminal records i first heard at Pharmacy during M3's last visit. It starts out with the words the only aphrodisiac I need is the sound of your voice...and then goes uphill or downhill depending on your tastes..M3 has been to Dallas twice and if you've missed him here is another chance and if you've heard him before you know what kind of talent this man is. The last time he was here it was the U.N.'s 1 year anniversary party...This time it's time to strap on the ol' Dancing shoes and break Zephyrs in. Along with M3 local talent will be provided by Just Mike from the Sapphire room stopping by for an eclectic visit on the patio. Joining him will be Terry Sims bringing some of his extensive collection to bring us an ol' school hip hop set. We also have a new transplant to Dallas from Tulsa by the dj name of Synergy and last but certainly not least we have ODDJOB on the patio, because he's just the man for the job Inside Weekly resident Blair Brown and U.N. crew member Jeremy Duke (monarch) will take us on a journey before and after the show... DJ M3 aka Manny Raising the volume of the Bay Area’s nightlife since the early 90’s, M3 has proved himself to be an influential character in the development of the SF/SJ house music scene. Born and raised in San Jose, M3 began his music career in 1990 promoting some of the original Bay Area’s massives such as “Get Down, Get Down, Get Down”, “The Gathering”, and “Deep Space”. Initially influenced by music ranging from Rick James, Screaming Jay Hawkins, and Led Zepplin, M3 began his d.j. career with a smooth down-tempo sound. Since then, his sound has evolved to include a spectrum of thumpin’ house beats which he is distinctively known. His dj name, M3, initially stood for Marijuana Motivates the Mind, but has since transformed to Makes Me Move. M3's funky fresh style will, without a doubt, have you moving by the end of the night. Today, M3 keeps himself busy with event promotions, music production, and performing. M3 is spreading the good word of house from San Francisco to San Jose, and beyond. Playing clubs in Moscow, Spain, Prague, Paris , Nottingham, New York, and Hawaii, M3 is funking it up all over the world. Closer to home, M3 focuses his time on four residencies throughout the Bay Area which include San Jose’s The Velvet Shop, SF’s Green Gorilla Lounge, 2nd Sundays, and Le Boom. Pairing up with the Sunset Crew, M3 also co-hosts the “not to miss” Fully Loaded party every other month. M3 has performed alongside an astounding array artists including Marshall Jefferson, Tony Humphries, DIY Sound Systems, Derrick Carter, Cajmere, Mark Farina, Miguel Migs, Doc Martin, Jeno, Garth, Del the Funky Homosapien, and Rick James. M3 can be found tearing it up in the local San Francisco scene, djing in clubs, bars, and undergrounds all over the city. Between playing and promoting, M3 has also established his own record label, Green Gorilla Lounge. Yeah this track was my fav towards the end of last year,btw its by Jose Nunez it's called "Billingual" and was on Subliminal Records. Harry "Choo Choo" did a track on Bambosa called What Happened, which is a sub label of Subliminal as well. Great records | |

well about that track I asked Joeski on the 3rd at minc...who's track that was and that's the guy that he told me...sorry he had a heavy accent and I heard Henry instead of harry, but now I know it was made by someone completely different... thanks for the knowledge...i'm still learning my tracks... thanks for the words mr. anderson off to Shade...talk more later |

werd, I had no idea that Zephyrs was the old Soul II Soul......DOPE!!!!  I'm really looking forward to hearing Manny (M3) play again...he always brings the heat..and what a great line up all night out on the patio...most of my hero's are out there...and it will be great to spin with Blair again (the last time was at Ruby Room!).  :drink: :drink: :drink: :drink:
