Well...I think it would be a good way to expose some local talent.

most of the cd I listen to are local djs who have taken the time and allowed me to listen to some of their skills on the decks or their style of play.

dallas does have some major talent.

I have been honored to listen to many cds recorded from DANK AUDIO ,and everyday I listen to a new great cd from a live set from one of the local shows.

I believe dallas djs as well as fort worth djs should bring their talents and resources together and start to push out their own label or mix cds.

yes there are local labels , but we still continue to seperate each other.

when I think mixtape, i think original material. Like, you want to give some people your music to preview, but you dont wanna give them the whole track so it could be played or pirated.

plus, if it a DDM competition, wouldnt that involve DDM members only?

Since I am part of Dank Audio and a member of DDM, I would qualify for entry.

And by mixtape, I doubt he means original material, he probably means Mixes? (when I think of a Mixtape/CD I don't think of Original Material, unless it's specified it's Tracks)

But I am not sure and it really doesn't matter I guess.

yes you would qualify, i was referring to the people you bring to town not qualifying.

most of the people brought into town sometimes happen to log on to ddm .

its funny , but you never know who is online or who you may talk shit to.


so croix you have been working on some original tracks in the hip hop genre.
do you have anything i can give an ear to.

I myself playing around have done some beats for the hip hop maybe I could learn something.

See what I get for my selective reading sometimes (or maybe doing 4 things at once hehe ) You're right the other Artist wouldn't count since they don't live in Dallas.

heres a mixtape we threw together.. its fairly fresh material, all within the last year or so. None of the newest, but you'll get the idea.
5 or 6 tracks - only a verso or two of each one.

DAP is a production crew consisting of myself and 3 other producers, and 2 MC's. (everyone is on DDM as well)
