I've been to Miami, L.A., Waikiki. Even San Antonio has better radio than us. WTF ? If I hear 50 cent one more time...

I just stopped listening to the radio a long time ago except for the Edge Club afterhours. I feel your pain im sick of the whole g unit crap, it drives me nuts!!!!!!!! Dj Faze DnB Nation.com S.O.U.N.D

Go Public !!! www.npr.org he he... ok it's not music, but it really is a refreshing change to hear anything with zero commercials. I haven't heard regular radio literally in years, i don't see why i should subject myself to non-stop corny commercials and dumb-ass repetitous music, expecially if stuck in traffic - it's so frustrating. If i am not in the mood for the standard npr fare, then i just pop in a CD of psytrance (umm... i have to admit i've been told psytrance is dumb ass repetitous music too  , but yeah, feel free to play whatever you like).Of course, if you like jazz/world music, there's a few programs on npr like Afropop Worldwide and others that are really cool, just check the schedule!!! I think it's 90.1 in dallas. have fun. |

G Unit 4 Life Niggaz! I hear you Nick and Stellar Faze. My girlfriend's little brother plays that shit non-stop man. He even looks like one of the G-Unit crew members. Sagging shorts with the matching G-Unit shoes! Just today I was sitting at her parents chilling and her brother was watching TV. In the 20 minutes that we were sitting down they played nothing but G-Unit videos. The whole time I just sitting there and trying not to judge the little guy. He looks up to 50-cent as a role model. I can't help but remember how I use to listen to tons of rap and hip hop as well. Its just a phase little niggaz go through. Some out grow and move on to better stuff. Others forget that gansta rap is a form of expression and should never try to be played out in reality. I do however agree and I propose we storm a radio station and kill the DJ who keeps playing G-Unit over and over!

Had to add my 2cents here since I rarely do here bout this statement of fact. Been in Dallas/Ftw since 88 and the radio market here has always been a bit pathetic compared to some of the other city's listed. HOwever, there are still some very successfull show's on dallas/ftw radio that are specialty type shows that give an ever so brief reprieve from the Dallas/Ftw radio abuse!!! (Many quality show's on Knon 89.3,not to mention Adventure Club,Edge Club(Kdge102),Musical Star Streams(107.5),etc) There are in fact many others that I didn't list but I can most definetly relate to this radio market and how regressive it tends to sound. the reason Dallas sucks in general, lack of a large college/university population. Everyone in Dallas works all the time, and to have a good radio/music scene, you need a lot of pot smoking college kids and college dropouts. See Austin as an example.
