![]() | Thank you, Dallas
Bass Pressure Radio began 3 years ago when two guys who wanted to drink beer and play breaks with some fat bass got themselves an internet show. Since then, the only criteria were to play well and party even better. However, all things change eventually and Agent L has decided to move on to other works in his future. This was not an unexpected decision, since we had both planned on moving out of state at different times within this year. Accordingly, Bass Pressure Radio will no longer be broadcasting live out of Dallas. I will be continuing on with the Bass Pressure website on my own, however the focus will now shift from promoting the radio show to a more complete source of info on music. The coverage will still be primarily on the breaks scene, but I’m also interested in expanding the scope to include features on dnb and hip-hop artists, as well as articles, reviews and monthly mixes for download. Essentially, it’s all going to be based around a funk breakbeat, but anywhere from 80 to 180 bpm. I’ve got some schemes in mind, but more on that later…for now, a new website is in the works and should be online some time in July. This is my shout out to everyone in Dallas who has been involved with BPR in one way or another. Bass Pressure Radio has left me proud and humble – proud because I believe we accomplished something unique and humble because I was able to witness the broad range of talent this town has to offer. I’ve been fortunate to meet a number of good people through BP and I’m damn proud to represent the Dallas sound. I also want to thank those who supported us even though they didn’t play on the show, as well as the record shops in the area. So big ups to everyone who came over and played, hung out with us or chatted with us at shows, it’s been an honor. 138 shows 690 hours live on-air 1380 beers between the hosts ? other assorted drinks 50+ in-studio guests 20 guest mixes Special shouts from me go out to Rx, the Carbon Community cats, Astronomikal MC, Tonya P., Method & Crave, Volition & the 222dnb crew, St. Blaize, the Blue Plasma guys, Elevated Nate, DallasDanceMusic and I’m sure there’s more…much respect. Biggest shouts go out to Agent L himself. Everything Bass Pressure was able to do was because of this guy. He’s one of the most naturally talented DJs I know and also a damn good person. Bern put a lot of time and work into Bass Pressure and his determination gave BP the push it needed, plus he was generous to share his home to host the show and the people that came along with it. It’s been a blast doing Bass Pressure with him, both from a creative standpoint as well as just having a fuckin’ good time for the past 3 years. So if you’ve ever listened to the show, checked out one of our mixes, seen us play live or just drank a beer with us, give Bern some props, the man deserves it. Thanks again Dallas Prajna

Dallas is very lucky to have had you 2 pushing the sound like you did. Basspressure is a great resource for breaks and I know that all the people who tuned in and can attest to that. I have great memories of the BassPressure studio (a la Bernie's apartment). Had a great time playing there a few times and even a better time just kickin back with you blokes and drinking good beer. Looking forwards to what the future holds and best of luck to Bernie as he continues his quest for World Domination through IT project Management.

Vince, you are a badass and BPR was even cooler. You guys had a really good run of things and I am glad that you are going to try to keep things going in some form or another. Hit me up sometime.

thanks everyone for the props and the support. the new website's gonna be a challenge since i'm in the process of finishing my thesis this summer but i'm gonna do my best to make it work. there's already a new interview with the Chi Recordings crew from Hungary that's almost finished and will be on the new site - i'll still be available for playing out and i'll do my best (or better than i normally do) at keeping in touch with peeps until the move comes... also, if you wanna get on the new BP mailing list, send your addy to info@basspressure.net and i can send out some info as it comes in. easy! v
