POLL - Supporting your local DJ's

Just curious.

How many of you actually listen to KNON/Rocket Radio when we have local guest DJ's?

Many of these same DJ's you know, are friends with and/or go to see spin out at local venues/clubs. I know Rocket Radio comes on at an odd time (12am-4am Friday nights) however, just curious of how many actually do tune in when they can.

dood. i was driving with a homie thru downtown after droppin off my other friend at his hotel 2 weeks ago and we heard old prodigy n shit. way dope. i tune in as often as possible. (when im sober enuf to remember) keep it up chicks. yall are really rockin it.

i heard derrick on there once, i think.

Girly, you just missed the shout out to Derrick then when you heard that song.
I had them wish him a Happy Birthday then play a very rare version of "Smack My Bitch Up" cuz, well, Derrick just ROXORS.

Be sure to tune in and catch him spinning on August 22nd from 140am - 220am and also come out to Crave on August 6th because he will be spinning there for the KNON/Rocket Radio event that night.

i don't listen to the radio often, but if i was reminded the day of, i probably would. I have a horrible memory. it just depends on if i get reminded or not. I like the show though, mad props.

Thanks a lot I usually make a post each Friday that details the line up for the next two months and slots of who is spinning every Friday... so watch out here because it's usually somewhere... I just have to bump it up so it doesn't get lost in the many posts and such.

i don't listen to the radio too much either. but i do listen to my ipod for hours a day....if it were possible to download full shows or even specific sets, i'd definitely check that out.

i always mean to check out the show, just never find myself near a radio at the right time.

I don't listen because I am always playing somewhere at that time... and by the time I get home I forget how to use the radio. Sorry! But I do appreciate what you do... and I would gladly pull out of a gig one night to join you (wink wink)!!!!

only stations I listen to are 89.3, 92.5, and 93.3. Cant really stand the radio much, but if Iam listentin I am usually tuned to one of those stations.

We have so many talented DJs and producers in this town, it would just be wrong to not feature them over the radio.

yeah. a lot of people have that problem shows/sets are only recorded when someone brings a cd and asks that it be done, otherwise, it's not.

but, i appreciate the fact that you probably do support the local dj's regardless of it's you are around a radio or if seeing them out.

Yesh, and the month of October is going to show support for one specific genre that is BIG in the dallas scene (I am SURE you guys can figure that one out) I just need to work out the bugs and talk to Sabrina some more about it first.

Shawnna, are you the DJ I hear every week? (Okay almost every week.) Your show and station are by far one of the best on the Dallas airwaves today, for what that's worth. The only bumper sticker on my car is KNON.

By the way I thoroughly enjoyed the history of EDM show a couple weeks ago, great stuff!

OH NO NO NO NO NO that's not me... I'm the "social anxiety girl" behind the scenes.... that girl would be Sabrina - DJ -Cyberina Flux- The Dallas Observer just did a huge article on girl DJ's (including her). You should check it out -She's Got Skills-.

Even though she is not me, your support is greatly appreciated.

My place at KNON/Rocket Radio is that I book DJ's to spin live on the air on the show (Rocket Radio that airs from 12am to 4am) each Friday night. I usually book every 2nd and 4th Friday, but, lately it's been every Friday.

Thank you SO MUCH for the props on the show last week and the "History of Electronic Music". Sabrina did an amazing job and tooting my horn/bragging just a bit... she trusted my knowledge and allowed me to help out quite a bit more than I had expected and I was very happy that she allowed me the opportunity to help as much as she did.
