I heard that it was cancelled also:

Unfortunately due to damage done by hurricane Katrina Voodoo Music Fest will be indefinitely cancelled. We are extremely sorry for this as it was entirely out of our hands. The damage to hotels and other area business has been extensive enough to require tourism to shut down for an indeterminate amount of time. An official announcement will be made tomorrow Wednesday August 30th at 1:30 EST.
Thanks to all of you that have supported Voodoo Music in order to make it what it has become. We will bounce back from this and are already planning next years to make it better than ever.
