^ Exactly. KATRINA IS FAR FROM not being a factor! For God's sake, the people still haven't even went back yet. Its going to take years of reconstruction.

yea but they might be in a better position come satuday morning if the hurricane takes out galveston and port arthur and other places....not saying that the Katrina victims are not important....but seriously....Rita is going to cause just as much damage if not more....Lets see if everyone contributes to this cause as much as Katrina

Right, especially since N.O. is already flooding again.
Additionally, Rita is down to Cat 3 and could possibly make landfall as a "large" Cat 2... no where near the Cat 5 Katrina.
I'm not saying Rita wont do any damage, but seriously...I doubt it will have the effect on us that Katrina did on N.O.
