With their latest album Water Sphere selling in major retail outlets such as Best Buy, Target, Barnes and Noble, and amaon.com, Pilot Drift is set to take Denton Texas by storm with their impressive showcase of atmospheric and ethereal sound layered behind some genuine rock and roll.

Pilot Drift was recently featured on www.msnbc.com where Jim Ray writes, "It's the range and, frankly, size of the music that's often so surprising and sure to have you check the liner notes at least once to make sure that there are just five band members."

This five member band from Texarkana has signed on with fellow Texans, the Polyphonic Spree, and their label Good Records, a fitting partnership to go along with their sweeping, grand music.

Greatness in Tragedy are five guys who love what they do! There, that's it, the band biography summed up in just one sentence. In all seriousness though, Greatness in Tragedy originally formed in Temple, TX. Though the lineup may have changed a little over the years, they are still playing their hearts out according to their myspace.com web site.

In order to fully understand what all of their large fan base already knows, you must see them live with a group of your closest friends. With music that has roots in love, hope, and faith, Greatness in Tragedy yearns to put on an unforgettable show for their crowd.

"We're definitely trying to put out a message of hope. Terrible things happen in life, but through those you can only grow and learn," says Kirk Baxley.

The former dj for the nationally touring band Stink Bug, this hip-hop dj is set to make his return to Denton for the first time in years. Dj Phooka is known as one of the leading djs in the Dallas area.

Dj Phooka currently has residencies at Zephyr’s as well as The Slip Inn and Zubar. Phooka has also held down residencies at such prominent Dallas bars as Purgatory, Red Jacket, Ecco Lounge, and Mick’s Bar.

Dj Phooka has played with many internationally touring drum and bass artists and has had his own productions released on such labels as G2 and Gein which are prominent drum and bass labels. Phooka is excited to make his return to Denton and play with such distinguished bands.

Merkury w/ Dj Frantik

Dj Frantik leads the most popular up and coming hip-hop act in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Frantik won the Regional DMC Championships last year, the most prestigious award for any hip-hop dj.

Mc Merkury hails from Georgia where he has played a steady stream of shows for the past five years. With the strong performance these guys had at the Hombar for Hive these guys are ready to please the crowd on December 2nd.

Josh Hatfield holds down the front end of this rock quartet writing the tunes and providing vocals and some rad ass riffs. London Ford co-writes and carries the backup vocals with some noisy guitar where it's needed. Che "a.k.a. Tripp" Stevens beats down the kit and provides the theatrical element to the group. Larry Henderson is the newest member on the bass.

The London Scar is moving full speed ahead with each member having over 15 years musical experience, hundreds of live shows behind them, and dozens of songs/albums written and released. The band may still be in their first year as a band, but the members show that they are no novices and you should expect to see them provide an excellent performance.
