Explore the boundaries of time, space, and sound at an all-night experience at Walt Disney Concert Hall. UK’s electronic music heroes The Orb will be your tour guide on this progressive space and sound journey through the Hall which kicks off the Phil’s Minimalist Jukebox, a 3-week festival directed by composer John Adams.

On Saturday, March 18, just before midnight, Walt Disney Concert Hall will become the setting for this progressive, ambient musical movement to come to life. Dr. Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann are The Orb – and since their seminal Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld in 1991 to last year’s Okie Dokie It’s The Orb on Kompakt, the Orb have continued to create electronic music from spacious and minimal celestial-techno to spiraling and hypnotic dance floor anthems.

This extraordinary event - which runs from 11:59pm on Saturday, March 18 to 6am on Sunday, March 19 - culminates with the Orb’s live performance in the main auditorium, while special guest artists (to be announced) will be featured in surrounding spaces and times of the Hall, and will showcase their respective visual and aural minimalist artistic philosophies.

Back when I listened to Orbital, I picked up an Orb album by mistake lol. I was 14, I dunno. lol.

oh my god !!!!!!!!!!!!! which i was there.I have everything they ever done.I remember dropping Fluffy clouds on the d/floor early 1991 and seeing people actually trip out to it on acid incl myself

that music hall is amazing. i got to check it out just after they opened.

the acoustics in that place are PERFECT. which makes hearing The Orb in there even more enticing and well worth the price of admission. Sure you'll just get to sit there, but damn.

the fact that they are going to be in such an amazing place makes me think back when alex patterson came down to cape town mid 90s for like 2 months to just hang out and get african type samples and sounds(so he said).

He ended up spinning there where ambient type music is also pretty big, in venues that were so dodgy,crappy sound systems and mainly outdoor Psy trance parties on the chill floor.The guy was amaxzng and so chilled,never complained about anything...props to him on this event.
