Is it me or is this guy just shit hot these days. He's been my fav house producer for a long time, but damn anything he puts out just drives me wild. He is sooo talented. His new "Supercuts" EP is so damn tight.

Hot no, shit yes. Ever heard the same thing done over and over again? Welcome to Joey Youngman's world. His music is about as groundbreaking as a baked potato. And im not hating, because I'm sure Joey is a nice guy, but I'm rather just shedding some light. There's waaaaaay better and more original (House) music out there. Get off the wall and into the bins....

He's the hottest thing to hit house music in over a decade IMO. His style has single handedly breathed life into what was an extremely stale house scene. All of a sudden, house music was dance music again, and not some experimental background drivel to drink a martini to. He got people away from the bar tables and back onto the dancefloor. Not only is his production top notch, he's one of only a very few that have ever successfully been able to combine the danceability of styles like disco house & speed garage with the moodiness and sophistication of deep house and earn respect from people in both camps. For the style he does, no one can touch him. There is a reason everyone on the planet wants him to remix their shit........it's instant gold. I've never seen a producer with his consistency either. He's released a ton of stuff under both JY & Mario Fabriani and there isn't a bad track in the bunch. It's just ridiculous. I'll agree a lot of his bread & butter tracks have a similar feel (it's because he uses swing on just about everything), but the few times he breaks off his formula and does something different, it's just as brilliant, proving he can do anything he puts his mind to.

I'm indifferent to that whole sound, but to each their own. His records sell and that's why i get em at the store.

Although the sound is oversaturating the market and I don't really play much of it right now (as opposed to 2 years ago), Joey's a great producer. I've heard some of his upcoming stuff and it definitely breaks the mold of what anyone would expect from a Joey Youngman track. Seriously sick stuff with vocals that I would play any day! Look out for "This is The Life" on Shakedown records.

I dont care, the man seriously gets down on the keys on "Doin My Thing" from his new Supercuts EP. But damn, he has been producing music since he was 10.
