ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE [ V Recordings | Soul:R | Commercial Suicide ] - UK

Since emerging onto the drum and bass scene in 2002 with their debut release on Klute’s Commercial Suicide imprint Artificial Intelligence or A.I as they have become known have quickly become one of the main players in liquid drum and bass.

In 2004 they signed their tune Hooked On b/w 100% to Bryan G’s V Recordings and have not looked back since releasing killer after killer including the massive Uprising and Desperado. Uprising was later voted the best drum and bass record on Radio 1 in 2004 and Desperado was included on Pete Tong and High Contrast’s mix cds. Their releases have received regular worldwide radio airplay from a wide variety of DJ’s including Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Zane Lowe.

A.I have remixed for all of the biggest drum and bass labels including Full Cycle, Soul: R and CIA producing many styles that would not be immediately thought of as theirs. They have also not been overlooked by the big commercial labels having recently remixed Kelis’s number one track Trick Me and Eric Prydz Slammin’. Currently they are in the process of remixing Basement Jaxx and have been asked by EMI to produce the new Jenna G album.

Their DJ work takes up as much time as producing in their schedules with the duo headlining numerous DJ dates, tours and residencies around the world. So far this year they have toured Japan, America and Canada and at the moment they are in the middle of a 16 date 2 month long UK tour.

They have just launched their own label Widescreen Recordings with debut release The Big Picture being licensed to be used in the FIFA Soccer game from E.A Sports. Currently they are completing their debut album for V, plus a mix CD for the label in Spring 2006. Recent releases include a track with D-Bridge for his Exit imprint, a remix of Going in Circles by Total Science and Rising featuring Jenna G for Zinc’s Bingo. Forthcoming is the huge 'Bloodlines', a favourite of Radio 1's Grooverider, with the track receiving regular airplay on the station.

Future projects / aspirations for A.I include producing none drum and bass related music including broken beat, house and hip-hop. This will one day soon all culminate into a live performance that is sure to be a hit with people who are into many genres of music, not just drum and bass.
