![]() | Bulletproof North American Tour 2007 BULLETPROOF [1210 / CYANIDE / REDLIGHT - AUCKLAND.NZ] Now accepting bookings for late January - Early February ![]() Bulletproof (Aka Jay Cyanide) is undoubtedly one of the finest D&B talents to emerge from the Southern Hemisphere. Until early 2005, Bulletproof were known as a production duo hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, consisting of Jay Cyanide (Known throughout New Zealand as Pots) and production partner Josh Lees, until the pair decided to go their separate ways. Over the past 7 years the name "Bulletproof " has stood for nothing less than the very finest in explosive, futuristic dance floor Drum and Bass, and during this time, Bulletproof released works on some of the scenes leading labels. Starting out with Guildfords Perspective Recordings imprint in July 2000, and remixes for their Sister Label Aspect throughout 2001/2002, Bulletproof soon began making waves throughout the D&B community. It wasnt long before Bulletproof had clocked up releases on ground breaking Imprints such as BC Square One, Renegade Hardware, Moving Shadow, Commercial Suicide, 1210 Recordings, Renegade Recordings, TOV, Red-light Recordings, Industry Recordings, CIA Recordings and Critical Recordings, to name just a few. Not content with simply Producing and releasing their music on well known UK labels, Bulletproof formed Cyanide Recordings, as a platform to release their own music, as well as solo projects and collaborations featuring some of the scenes rising stars, and accomplished Drum & Bass producers. This includes the likes of Konflict/Kemal & Rob Data, DJ Optiv(Cause4Concern) , Concord Dawn, Agent Alvin, Psi-Dream, Teknik & Dose, Dub Dragon, Pacific and Vector Burn to name a few. Now upon the 20th vinyl release for the label, Cyanide Recordings has stood the test of time. Distributed world wide via the UK's leading distributor ST Holdings, Cyanide Recordings releases can be picked up in record stores and online around the globe. Jays collaborative efforts include the likes of Dj Fresh)EIB(, Pendulum, Concord Dawn, The Upbeats, DJ Optiv(C4C), Mayhem, State of Mind and Agent Alvin amongst others, proving without a doubt that Bulletproof is a name amongst THE names. After a full years hiatus during 2004/05, jay locked himself in his studio and began producing some of his finest works. Whilst living in the beautiful "Bay of Islands" in the far north of New Zealand, Jays lifestyle had a profound effect on his music. With more room for personal expression and experimentation, Jay has been hard at work forging the next level in the Bulletproof sound. With a flurry of recent tracks catching the attention and lining the crates of the likes of Adam f, Dj Fresh, Total Science, Bad Company, Klute, ED Rush, Optical, D Bridge, Pendulum, Andy C, Diesel Boy , DJ Fierce, Concord Dawn, The Upbeats, Mayhem, Agent Alvin, State Of Mind, Matrix, DJ Zinc, Bailey and Mampi Swift, and receiving repeated airplay on several of the major radio shows and web casts around the world, the Neurofunk sound of Bulletproof has forged a place for itself amongst the crates of thousands of Dj's the world over. Apart from producing and maintaining the Cyanide Imprint, Bulletproof's Jay Cyanide can regularly be found playing his sound out to the masses. A long time veteran of the New Zealand, and global Drum and Bass community, Jay started out DJing hardcore and breaks in 93 around the city of Auckland, New Zealand. After teaming up with other New Zealand Pioneers, Jay soon found himself stepping up in front of packed warehouses, clubs, raves and festivals, dropping the very freshest in the new sound emerging from rave culture known as Jungle. And not much has changed since. Renowned the world over for delivering seamless mixes of the most up to date selections available, Jay has truly earned himself a reputation any DJ would be proud of. Over the years Jay has toured throughout Europe, The United Kingdom, North America, The Caribbean, and Australasia, and has brought his sound to some of the worlds leading clubs and venues, supporting and headlining alongside most of the major players in the scene. As Cyanide Recordings dons its 20th release, (Bulletproofs highly anticipated Wounded Soul B/w Agent Alvins devastating Room Full Of Bullets), its time to get ready for yet another onslaught of complete Bulletproof dance floor madness. With a DJ style likened to that of any of the scenes leading Djs, armed to the teeth with a selection of the very freshest cuts of neurofunk the scene has to offer, Bulletproof is guaranteed to deliver, each and every time. With close to 13 years experience behind the wheels of steel, Jay holds the reputation for being one of Australasia's fiercest D'n B selectors. 2006 Has seen a major step up in the global demand for Bulletproof, but for jay, maintaining his heavy production schedule has been his main focus. With an onslaught of new remixes and collaborations lining the crates of the scenes finest, Bulletproof is getting ready for another round of international dates locked in for 2007.... ![]() ![]() PM me here or email bookings (at) shadow-law.com http://www.myspace.com/bulletproofnz http://www.myspace.com/shadowlawrecordings http://www.shadowlawrecordings.com |
